Please take the time to introduce yourself to your Shop Steward.The Stewards function is to be of help to you. If you have any questions or encounter any problems, he\she is there as your representative and to be of assistance to you. Read your Union Contract very carefully, understand your rights and responsibilities. You will also find many benefits that you are entitled to under this Union negotiated contract such as sick days,optional holidays, etc., which your union fought hard to obtain for you over the years.

Medical Benefits

After (6) month of employment at United Parcel Service, full-time and part-time employees are entitled to medical benefits. For informatino or to enroll in your medical plan, full-timers can call Local 804 Welfare Trust Fund at (718)786-5410. Part-timers please call (718)353-9877.

Sick Leave

New part-time employees

All new part-time employees with less than (1) year seniority shall receive paid sick days in accordance with the following schedule:

 After four months employment-1 Day

 After six months Employment- 1 Additional

After nine months Employment- 1 Additional

 Total of three paid sick days

Optional Holidays

New Part-time Employees

All New part-time seniority employees shall recieve their optional holidays as follows:

 After six months seniority- three optional holidays

 After nine months senoirity- two optional holidays

 Total of five Paid Optional Holidays

Sick Leave

New Full-time Employees

 After four months employment- 1 day

After six  months employment-2 Additional Days

 After eight months employment-1 Additional Day

  After nine months employment-1 Additional Day

  After twelve months employment-1 Additional Day

 Total of six paid sick days

 After six months seniority- Three optional holidays

  After nine months seniority- Two optional holidays

 Total of five Paid Optional Holidays

Please keep your Union Dues in good standings at all times. If a members dues fall three (3) months in arrears, they will automatically be suspended from all rights and privileges of the Union. Keep track of your Union Dues Deductions on your pay stubs, which should be deducted every month.

When leaving your job for any reason, such as retirement, resignation, layoff, discharge, military leave, disability, or compensation. It is very important that you call the Union at (718)766-5700 and apply for a withdrawal Card. When a member is out on a withdrawal, he\she is not required to pay union dues for the time he\she is out, and will remain in good standing.
